My Iva is due to come off my credit file this month as it has been almost 6 years. Has anyone managed to get a mortgage easily after. I already have a mortgage but I would like to move to a different property. Advice please.

Well done on reaching the end - have a word with either Ryan or Shaun (details under Industry experts link) and they may well be able to help you.

It is certainly worth speaking to one of the experts like Shaun Vickery from Select or Ryan. I know that Shaun has obtained High Street mortgages for ex clients of ours so it is possible.

Hi Kaz,
We have access to High Street Lenders who would look to lend to you at this point. We would be happy to look at your options if you were to contact us.
Regards

I presume your IVA has completed and you have your CC and have come off the insolvency register?

And yes my Iva is completed. I paid it off last year. It was a long journey and such a relief when I got to the end.

Hi Kaz. It's certainly very possible although I'd encourage you not to simply apply 'randomly' to lenders at this point because there are still many who will decline an application and this can actually then make the task more difficult. It's important to ensure that your application is prepared in advance in order to give you the highest chance of success.

Great news and speaking to either Ryan and or Shaun will hopefully get you the mortgage you so wish. Ryan has supported me through several mortgages since our iva and at great high street lending rates.
As Shaun says don't randomly do searches as this will count against your credit record going forward ... let us know how you get on.

Have to agree with the above -- avoid a scattergun approach as refused applications leave a stain on your shiney new credit record and a broker can be worth his weigh in gold (fortunately neither Ryan or Shaun look too weighty

)
