Have come home to a letter from Stansfield Moore asking me to call them, it's claiming they have important confidential information for me.

I've googled the firm, seems they can be about inheritance (I'm not aware of any) but also have contacted people with completed ivas.

Just wondered if anyone else had heard of them and if it's spam. I finished my Iva at beginning of the year and am no longer on insolvency register. Wonder where they got my info from.

I would personally ignore it. It is probably a scam. It could be they checked info before you were removed.

I have no idea as to the reason for the contact, but I would guess it is some form of ambulance chasing. It would be interesting to know !

Looked at their website and I would not touch them with a 10 ft barge pole.

I got the same letter and rang out of curiosity....ambulance chasers as Foggy says. They knew about the IVA and reckoned we could still be owed compensation on already claimed ppi!! serio usly, I told em where to go in the politest way and hung up!!

It’s odd this came up here. I completed my iva a good few years back, removed from credit file etc, nice new clear file.

Yet in the post today what arrived, yep a letter from these guys stating they had urgent financial information for me, hhmmm how did they get my address etc...from my iva days I’ve moved on literally moved house and everything.

Bin it! Ignore!

Ask Stansfield Moore to acknowledge that the only way they can contract with their customer is by the act of their customer must first volunteer identification that must be the property of the CROWN, (such as a driving licence.)
Their failure to acknowledge this fact is a criminal act.
