Hi all, just had my CC a couple of weeks ago and it's just turned 6 years since I started my iva. I currently have a basic account with the co op but want to upgrade to a 'normal' account with hsbc or Barclays, when can I apply for this? Once again TIA

HSBC might not be the best one to go for as they are notoriously bad with both and past IVA people.

Barclays should be ok but make sure that everything is off your record first.

Cheers Kallis, I'm awaiting an updated credit report due tomorrow, I'm hoping the majority of it will be gone!

You may find that it takes up to three months for it to come off the insolvency register and there is nothing you can do about that.

I opened a basic account with Barclays during the last year of my IVA, once the IVA finished and I received my CC they upgraded my account to a full current account without me even prompting them.
