Hi,

Just checked Experian for the first time in over 6 years and have a score of 999/999

6 year anniversary has passed.

IVA not showing and no defaults but lots of closed and settled accounts.

Is this likely to alter and is it worth checking all the other agency's ?

Thanks

Hi,

It is worth checking the other two just in case.

Each agency only holds and reports information given to them by the creditors who use and report to them. It is worth checking all three in case there is a creditor who simply does not report to Experian who has reported to the others and not dealt with it correctly.

Hi Lunan.

That's really great news!!

Am I right in saying that you cannot get a higher score then that?

We have two weeks to go for 6 year anniversary. I'm really hoping it all falls off and we get a good score!!

Well done.

Regards

Baldy.

Luna: How long did you have to wait to come off the register?

Thanks

Hi Baldy,

Not exactly sure as only just started checking but within 6 weeks.

I think no current credit and plenty of long standing settled accounts plays a big part on the scoring.

Also the stuff you can keep like mobile phone contracts and some utilities that report shows up as revolving credit that's up to date.

Thought I'd have to get a credit card so was quite surprised.

Good luck with yours.

Also as advised by the pro's I checked the other 2 agency's which weren't quite as high but both showed a good rating higher than their benchmark for the nations average score.
Noddle had hardly any historical stuff showing but as I've never checked it before I don't know if it was ever there or has been removed or not so many report to it.
Equifax was only adversely showing the IVA as completed but no mention on the other 2 sites.
The dates for the IVA were all correct on Equifax so I probably need to ask Foggy or another expert how I get it shifted?

Hi Luna .... if they are showing the IVA as completed correctly and they have the correct start date of more than 6 years ago, it should be removed. I believe they have a "report an error" section on the website, so drop them a line requesting it's removal. They might ask for a copy of the completion certificate, but, as it has obviously been reported to them already, should be okay with it.

Cheers Foggy they took it over the phone from me and agreed no issue to remove in 3-5 days.
Straightforward their mistake.

I know I'm being impatient but I have just got a reply from the insolvency register regarding the 3 months to wait to then be removed.

They said it's 3 months so the credit agency's have that amount of time to update their records!!!

Unfortunately that's the way the cookie crumbles - it does normally take three months depending upon who picks up the paperwork.
