If your IVA has finished, your 6 years has passed since the start date and you are off the register then contact the creditors direct, send them a copy of your CC and ask them to update their records.

Dear Lisa and Foggy
Thank you so much. Going to use the letter template on debt camel to write to my creditors as originally defaulted sept 2009. DMP till 2011 then IVA 2011 to 2016. Phewwww!

If your IVA started in 2011 - then it would be 2017 before they fall off.

2017 is your 6 year anniversary of the start of your iva - unfortunately nothing will be removed until this point as ginger says.

You will have to wait until 2017 to begin clearing up your record.

Thank you all for the guidance. I was given some pretty poor financial advice in 2009 from my employer who subsequently hooked me up with payplan on a dmp for two years paying close to 4000 in interest but that was all it covered. They refused to put me on an iva although was eligable. My debt was mainly due to a failed relationship whereby my partner racked up massive credit card debts secured under my name and would only agree to the divorce if I shouldered all the debt. I have now moved on and put that all in the past although a hard pill to swallow had no choice. I really appreciate the guidance from all and will wait till the day in june next year when can finally move to a sensible financial future.
