My mum had an IVA she has paid in full as myself and my brother set up a standing order for remaining payments which ended 1/8/16 due to my mums ill health cancer and a stroke now they are hassling her for bank statements

Hi and welcome,
It will just be standard procedure to make sure that all payments have been made and there is nothing outstanding at all. Once they have these they can commence closure.

Sorry to hear about your mum's ill health. At the end of an iva the IP has to perform a final annual review and can request bank statements as part of this. Failure to comply could, if taken to the letter of the arrangement, lead to a breach for non - compliance and the iva failing. Just send the bank statements, duplicates canve requested if required.
As an additional point, I am assuming when you said paid in full that you mean she met her obligations to pay all the monthly payments. She is still bound by the iva and to complying with the IPs 'reasonable requests' until she receives her completion certificate.

I can only echo the advice given above. But, might I suggest that your mum gives the IP permission to correspond with you to avoid further stress ?
