Hi, Can I claim PPI refunds from companies that were involved in my IVA? I made a one off payment to my IVA and then finished in the usual 5/6 years in 2009/10. Thanks

Hi and welcome,
You can claim but you might find that the refund goes to your creditors unless you paid your IVA 100p in the pound plus fees.

It may be an option and some IP firms will not be interested in debts this old. Have a word with your former IP and see what they say.

Hi - you may want to wait for the outcome of Greene v Wright hearing, which from memory I think is due to be heard in November 2016.
The case is about whether a debtor who has finished their IVA can claim for PPI compensation post closure or whether it still belongs to the old IVA estate.

As Michael says given how long ago the case was closed I doubt the IP would be interested, unless its substantial.
