Hi,

Have a chat with either Ryan or Shaun (details under the expert link on the left hand side of the page) but you will probably have to wait until you have your completion letter and everything has dropped off your credit record.

There contact details can be found here. Both have helped lots of forum members in the past. I can personally vouch for Ryan and his team http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/forum_experts.asp

You might need to wait until you have come off the register too.

I would certainly contact either Ryan or Shaun - just make sure your credit record is clear as well.

Thanks Kallis3 , I have checked my Experian report and it still shows some accounts as defaulted with a balance showing, as opposed to showing zero , I take it that will flag a problem on any mortgage application ? I have e mailed the outstanding creditors and asked them to update my credit report .

Have your 6 years passed yet? This might not be able to be sorted until after that date.

Have a read here regarding defaults and the like:

http://debtcamel.co.uk/repair-credit-record-iva/

The defaults and the IVA itself will remain on record until the 6th anniversary of the IVA (or date of default if not corrected). It makes little difference if the delinquent accounts are shown as outstanding, settled or partially settled. They need to be gone.

You will need to check all three agencies, as they do not all mirror each other, as well as checking for any Notice of Correction, which you can request to be removed, as these do not drop off automatically.

6 months to go before you can tidy up your credit record.

You might find this quick video I made useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:
