Despite the fact that I no longer post on the forum, I do check in once in a while to read some of the postings. This forum is an entire blessing, keep up the good work guys. Nevertheless I just received some communication from a Company called Consumer Advisory Service referring to a closed legal matter and indicating that they have identified that I may be due a return of charges previously paid by me in respect of past transactions etc. Now I know exactly what they were referring to but I contacted them to enquire where did they get my details and was advised from the old Insolvency Register. Looks like the past is coming back to haunt me after five years....only saying.

Letters like these do nothing except kill trees !

Most of us have had these letters - just ignore them and put them in the recycling.

Ignore.

The fact that you came off the register 5 years ago actually means that they have no legitimate reason for contacting you.

Just state that if they contact you again that they will complain to the ICO using this fine as an example:
