I'm after some advice me and husband completed our IVA in 2011.
We have now sold our house but have come up against a brick wall the IVA company put restrictions on the house and I'm now trying to get them removed.
My solicitor said we need confirmation from IVA company that they will remove them the problem is my IV A company no longer exists they transferred all there live cases but the closed cases where never passed onto anyone.
So now my only hope is that the land registry will remove them with the completion certificate.
Has anyone else had this problem. Which I had dealt with this 5 years ago when I got the certificates but to be honesty I didn't even realise they had put restriction on the house.

Hi,
Your company should have removed your restriction once the IVA was completed.
Send a copy of your completion to Land Registry and I would also speak to your old IP company to ask them what is going on.

That's the problem I'm having my IVA company no longer exists they passed all live cases to another company but nothing was done with the closed cases.
The new company have no record of us.
So my last hope is the land registry just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Contact Aperture -- the IP's from GT are the same. They should have access to the old files, or at least simply remove the restriction.

Your IVA belongs to the IP, not the company, and he will have gone to Aperture ( which is still GT but rebranded).

Money Debt & Credit should be able to help or your IP, wherever he/she has moved to. You can locate them here:
https://www.gov.uk/find-an-insolvency-practitioner
Worst case scenario you should be able to send a copy of your CC to the land registry to get the restriction removed yourself.

Do MDC still exist? I thought they were just an introducer (we almost went with them!) and it appears their website is undergoing a reconstruction and all IVA enquiries should be via GT which is obviously Aperture now.

Spoke to land registry and with cc they will remove restrictions so happy I don't have to keep chasing a ghost.
Anyone coming to end of IVA I would make sure you ask they remove restriction.
