Hi Folks, I'm with McCambridge Duffy and have been happily paying my IVA for a couple of years at £200 per month. I have had 2 payment breaks when I changed jobs, but this morning have received a letter saying I am £400 in arrears and I need to clear it off in 14 days. The payment breaks were approved by McCambridge Duffy and I am now panicking as I simply cannot afford to pay off £400 just like that. I was under the impression the £400 would be added onto the end of my IVA? Can someone help me, I am really worried"

Try not to worry Goffy. I'm sure Michael Peoples will be able to sort this out for you. Sounds like an admin error to me. I had a 2 month break and it was added on to the end. I actually paid it back over the last 12 months out of my allowances as I didn't want to extend the term by 2 months but at least I had the option. It's always frustrating when you have an issue over the weekend period but rest assured you're with one of the best iVA providers.

Hopefully all will be sorted Monday. Admin error possibly as you say.

How were the payment breaks approved? Write to them and remind them that these were approved by them and send them the evidence.

Mcd are usually one of the firms on here who are highly spoke of. I'm with them myself & they have been really good throughout, able to explain any queries as soon as i phoned. Hopefully it was just an admin error.

Morning folks. Yes Michael got in touch first thing yesterday morning. It was indeed an admin error. Michael was really helpful and it's all sorted now. I'm more than happy with McCD and they have always been brilliant and I understand errors happen but it's all good now. Thank you Michael [:)]
