Hi, we entered a iva in 2009,and paid it for 5 years, they stopped taking the direct debit, now they are saying we owe six thousand pounds, and have not complied in telling them extra money was earned, so have not paid anything for two years, what do we do now.

Is the iva still active. Are you still on the insolvency register?
How has the 6 k been worked out, have you got a breakdown of calculations.

I would seek a full breakdown of the £6,000 and discuss why it has taken them two years to calculate and inform you of this. Ultimately if you have earnt additional monies and this figure is owed then you will need to agree a payment method to resolve to enable closure of iva and certificate to be issued.

I agree ask them for a full breakdown, evidence as to how they arrived at those figures and an explanation as to why they have waited 2 years to ask for this. Send in writing via recorded delivery..
