Well I am pleased to say that 6 weeks after my last payment, I have received my Completion Certificate. Yes to most people (that don't understand) it is just a piece of paper. To me it is a huge line signifying the end of one chapter and the start of a new.

I remember writing one of my first blogs saying I was scared as I was single and felt like I was going it alone. Well I'm still single and I am so happy that I can say I did this all on my own. I only had myself to think about, if I overspent it was only me that paid the price so to speak.

I have been relatively trouble free and although a struggle, one way or another I've managed.

Good luck to all those starting their journey, one day at a time and a few deep breaths and you can do it.
X

Well done pod_moo --- where are we going for the holiday ?? :-D

Yes, that little bit of paper means the world to us -- a point many IP's seem unable to understand.

Congratulations.

I am off to Kos in October with my friend who I met 7 years ago on holiday! Over the last 7 years we have taken a lot of lemons and made fantastic lemonade and so grateful for the friendship we have.

Kallis - I was with Payplan (I think you were as well) and can honestly say that although I had a few different people looking after me, I never had any issues with them. I also somehow managed to maintain a bank account with HSBC and have just opened a savings with them.

I do feel like a cloud has been lifted. I have had a really difficult year (other than the debt) but this has made me see that one way or another you can come out the other side so I plan on trying to have a much more positive outlook on things going forward. Fingers crossed
