My wife and I made our last payment in our iva ,august 2013 we received our closure cert nov 2014,(we actually received closure cert aug 2014 as well) during the iva we signed for ppi to be investigated post closure by eic,( ppi started 2012) in the back end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 our iva company is asking us to sign letters of authority for a company called shl to investigate the ppi again, both my wife and I are reluctant to sign these forms, apeture are saying if we do not sign and return these forms, they will have to inform the creditors, our question is what could be the outcome of this,is there any legal action can be taken.
thanks and best regards

Hi and welcome,
If you have your completion, as far as I am concerned, you do not need to sign anything else.

You don't have any creditors anymore - that is why they issued a completion certificate.
I would say sign and return them but enclose a letter stating that you will not sign any more in the future.

You have finished your IVA and are not legally bound anymore unless you have signed something to the contrary as part of the closure process.

Hi All,
I have also been receving on average 2 calls per week from a Slater Hayward Law and they are stating i must sign more PPI authorisation forms in order for them to pursue PPI. My IVA ended Nov 14 and i received my completion documentation August 15. PPI was fully investgiated by 2 companies under GT and they found nothing. I see there is a pending court case receiving some attention from the media over this so my initial question is should i ignore these people?
Nothing other than the standard detail surrounidng PPI was mentioned in my agreement.
Regards
Geoff

Say to them that as they have been commissioned by aperture you have now stated your position and that it is for aperture to confirm directly what happens next.
Given when you got your cc it may be worth considering signing them but also stating that as the ppi reclaim date is 2018 you do not expect to be contacted again and will not resign anything past this point.

Do we know the exact date in 2018 when claims will have to stop?

I wonder if this is an attempt to cover all eventualities with the forthcoming court case appeal. If it's the 'wrong' result for Iva companies then they will have your signed authority handing it over.
Call me suspicious but I was transferred to a certain company based north of the border and their ppi letter was, to my mind, wonderfully creative!

It could well be - all the more reason not to sign - that way if the appeal case falls on the side of IVA debtors then they get the right to claim and post CC PPI refunds (if not assigned etc)...
