I have received a letter from public audit bureau is this legit or is this a scam. I have rang them and they are sending the paperwork through I am just wondering whether to complete and send it back.

A letter out of the blue ? What are they offering to do ?
With a trading name attempting to give the impression of an official capacity I would steer clear.

See this thread as well

I've just had one and it has gone in the recycling lorry today! Website does not appear to exist and although their address is in the Midlands my letter was postmarked S****horpe.

As Foggy says - steer clear.

SCAM

How can they possibly know anything about your financial predicament or your attempts to get out of debt. They would have trawled the insolvency register and just pick "victims" at random. When the paperwork turns up just file it in the shredder.

It's nothing to do with you getting out of debt - they know you have completed your IVA - mine was done in September 2013! I was so surprised to get this letter as it is (apparently) something to do with 'charges'.

Mine went with the recycling lorry this morning!

Hi all, long time since last posted, we also received this letter today, same as others, the postmark is somewhere random, nowhere near Cheltenham.

Can't believe that after two years of being invisible, something like this drops through the door. We are currently moving house and wouldn't like to think these letters are going to start arriving after the post has finished being redirected [:(!]
Will ring them tomorrow and try to find out where they are getting the details from.

Ignore it!! Don't phone them as they will then know you are a genuine person.
