Hi all new poster here and after a good few months reading the forum lurking in the shadows I just wanted to say the forum is an excellent place to share thoughts and opinions and most of all receive excellent support from the experts. I only have a few months remaining of my IVA and it's been a huge learning curve and before I ever came across this forum I never thought there was this kind of support anywhere apart ftom speaking to my case advisor.I really hope the site continues to offer such excellent support which can seem so small but can mean so much to many people.

Many thanks for your kind words just a quick question I finish my iva in April and with Payplan. Are payplan still withholding CC's and should I contact them about this raising my concerns?

Keep the pressure on Payplan when the IVA finishes as no reason why IVAs cannot be closed.

Michael, what is an acceptable timescale for an IVA to close, I'm with NTF and they have quoted between 3 - 6 months to issue my CC, I made my final payment at the end of December '15?

Three seems reasonable as there are a number of things to do. However if you need it quicker many firms will try and speed things up and some firms issue the certificates within weeks of the final payment. Any more than three months does seem excessive and the older proposals and modifications used to specify this as a maximum timescale.

Thank You Michael, so allow 3 months before I start contacting them then, I'll let you know how I get on....

This could be complicated but what would exactly happen if the court case appeal still goes in favour of the debtor and anyone who's received their CC and had a deed of assignment attached and successfully have a PPI claim would the IVA company need to pay PPI back to the debtor after distributing the PPI to the creditors? Would it also be beneficial sitting tight for a CC without a deed of assignment while awaiting the outcome of the court case? Surely the 6th year end date of anyone's IVA would be the same date 6 years previous that the person started their IVA and not the date they receive the CC? In simple terms the 6 years will end on the date the IVA commenced and not 12 months from the date the CC was received? Sorry for the long maybe confusing post.

The case only involves closed cases where this is no deed of assignment. It has already been proven that the deeds of assignment are valid so have no bearing on this case.

Carl.ph congrats on coming to end of the IVA. Call the office as we may be able to get your CC to you sooner if any issue are outstanding (as Michael says we may be able to do a form of assignment to draw a line under any PPI issues).

Purely from what I have seen on the board NTF seem to be a company that have defined standards that they actively work towards.
3-6 months for a completion certificate suggests that 6 months for them would be the worst case scenario - some companies only start thinking about the cc after 6 months and then only when you push.
