Hi all,
I am on the home run (nearly) and 9 months to go, however my IVA company asked me back in November to start the ball rolling with a remortgage as their online valuation and the redemption statement they had sourced on my behalf showed I have over £5000 equity avail, was told a verbal no over the phone with my current lender would suffice so long as I signed a declaration to say this, all that's done now so my choices now are £20,000 3rd party lump sum for equity owed OR 12 further months of £332, a no brainier really but as I want to get married and move in with my partner, who has been very patient with my IVA bless him, i am holding off moving in for now as I don't think it's fair how intrusive my company will be with him, bank statements etc..... After my 5 years in Sept can I offer, with the help of either my partner or brother, a lump sum for the extra 12 months?! Whilst I'm very grateful for my IVA, I can see light at the end of a very, long hard 5 year tunnel and I just want to move on with my life now having lived like a hermit for the past few years, sorry if I've waffled on a bit - haha in a nut shell, can I pay the Extra 12 months off in one go!
Thanks

It would probably require a variation unless your proposal allows this but even if it does I see no reason for the offer to be refused. Very best of luck.

Hi if I've understood correctly you have c£7k to pay over next 21 months. You could make a settlement offer now rather than wait...
