Hi everyone & Happy New Year!
This is a post I have planned on writing for years (with a good or a bad outcome) as I know it was an important topic we had searched high and low for when we were in the IVA.
We wanted to know if there was a glimmer of hope in the future for people like us who had been in an IVA of ever having a mortgage one day.
This home owning dream was something we held onto tightly, put it at the finishing line dangled like a carrot and talked about often, whilst slogging our way through the slow moving 6 year term (The extra year was due to PPI delays).
We are happy to confirm that along with the invaluable help from Ryan and his team at Zebra we have been able to obtain a mortgage with a competitive rate and can now officially call ourselves home owners! (Yep, we are still pinching ourselves and jumping for joy).
We first approached Ryan back in 2012 for advice and even though at the time we were still in the IVA, he still kindly took time out to respond to us as he does to people here on this forum. No matter whenever we needed him from then until now, Ryan always responded professionally, quickly and precisely to any queries we had. We know we have said it oodles of times to you Ryan, but thank you ever so much for turning our dreams into a reality! We recommend your services whole heartedly.
We would also like to wish you all the best of luck for the future. IVA’s are tough to get through in one piece but we are proof that it can be done. Once you get to the end the feeling is unmatchable. Throw your modesty out of the window and don’t deny yourself a well-deserved pat on the back. After that don’t let anything stop you. Stick to the path and try and make your dream that you have for the end of your IVA a reality.
