Hi guys (especially the wonderful Melanie Giles, who set me on my way to debt freedom).
I've been IVA free now since 2012, after initially entering into it in May 2010.
I have a query which hopefully someone can answer for me.
I've noticed on my credit report that some of my default dates are incorrect (in other words, they aren't entered as default on the date my IVA started).
Is this correct, and if not, am I able to correct these to ensure that by May 2016 all my defaults drop off my record?
I was under the impression that as soon as accounts were included in an IVA, these automatically default, and so surely all my defaulted accounts should be on the same date.
It's important as in theory by May next year, that'll be six years since the start of the IVA and as such they should all drop off my record.
Some of the defaults that were included in my IVA weren't updated on my credit report for at least another year (2011), and so that would mean they'd stay on my record until 2017.
Can someone advise please?
Also, to all those of you just setting out on what appears a long and daunting road to debt freedom, I say stick with it, this is a wonderful place for advice and support, and take it from someone who was in significant debt, there is light at the end of the tunnel for all of you.
Many thanks all.
