I was in a joint or interlocking iva with my late husband and I signed a ppi release form with my IP. However, my late husband did not and I've been told that my signing covered him as well. I find this confusing as I thought that we had individual iva's that were dependent upon each other yet remained individual. Is it possible that one person in a joint iva can make possibly life changing alterations to their agreement without the others consent?

When your husband passed away his IVA would usually terminate but most IP firms and creditors have procedures to deal with this. I can only assume that this was addressed at the time.
