My IVA is with Debt free, I have been in the IVA for over 5 years and the amount I now pay is crippling me financially. I need to replace windows of my house before winter and I have car problems.
Debt free are nearly impossible to contact. On hold for 30 mins plus, and emails just bounce back to no reply. How can I suspend or stop payments ? I have 6 payments left to go, but the £520 per month (1/3 of my net wage) would go along way to getting my house water right for the winter. Please advise.

I would not advise you to stop paying. Email Evette from DFD who posts here and hopefully she can help quickly. Her details are in the experts column.

Hi Chris. If they won't respond to your calls you will need to put something in writing to them (recommend recorded delivery) and ask for a written response. It sounds as if perhaps your disposable income may be too high and this is why you are struggling to meet the payments. The first thing you need is to ask for a break to get the car sorted (this will be added on to the end of the IVA term) and at the same time a review of your contributions. Mention the issues you've been having in contacting them and that due to this you will look to make a formal complaint if they don't get back to you within a reasonable time.

Hi and welcome,
Evettes details can be found under the experts section on the left hand side - she does monitor this forum so will hopefully pick up on it.
