Hi
I completed my IVA 2/3 years ago. Nothing on my credit file. We are currently renting but our landlord needs the house back and has given us notice today.
I have rang my bank (natwest) to enquire and have been told that the RBS group will not lend money if you have every been in an IVA.
Who could I get a mortgage with??

Please help

For the bank that almost went bust itself RBS are notoriously unhelpful !

I would advise that you have a chat with one of the whole of market brokers who post on forum; Ryan and / or Shaun, who have helped many ex-IVA'ers get mortgages.

Their details can be found by scrolling down the page on this link, to the Experts Details section:

Hi Johndc1,

You need to speak to Ryan or Shaun (details on the experts page) they help people who've had financial problems get a mortgage. Don't try yourself as unnecessary searches on your credit file will reduce your chance of success. Good luck!

I agree that you need to speak to either Ryan or Shaun - they have helped several people on here to get mortgages. You may find the interest rate is a little higher than normal but at least it gets you on the ladder.
