Hi all
Has anyone had any experience with CF after a f&f has been accepted?
We had ours accepted in May but have heard nothing since. I have emailed closures but I know they can be slow to get back to you.
Does anyone know what the next stage is with CF once the cheques are cashed?
Thank you x

Hi helping to bump this up for you as I do not know what CFs timescales are likely to be.
FYI Closure times seem to vary from a few weeks to 6 months according to other posts on this forum.
I would suggest you keep the pressure on and call your IP firm to ask about progress.

From the experiences of others with CF I gather that the normal scenario is utter silence and then a completion certificate appearing out of the blue! On the whole they do not appear to take too long, I would give it three months and then hound them

I would hound them everyday until they are sick of you and send it just to stop you calling...!

Hi Starbucksqueen,
When our F&F was accepted, we paid the funds by bank transfer, requested receipt of these via phone and email from CF, of which they did both within 48 hours of payment.
I then requested to know how long for distribution and certificate etc and they told me the creditors have 4 weeks to claim their dividend, and after that they get distributed, the closure team then does their thing and certificate come out.
Sometimes the creditors can be quicker or take longer than expected with the dividend claim, but CF stated that they set a firm deadline they must meet, else they can lose out.
It could be that they are waiting for someone to make a claim from your funds?
I rang daily to ask for updates lol !

lol MrsR! We are fast approaching the 4 weeks now since funds were received so that would make sense!
I shall be stalking the postie over the next couple of weeks!!
