Hi, just found out im pregnant and i have an IVA in my name. Obviously circumstances are going to change, i was just wondering when or if i need to inform my IP?

On the assumption your disposable income will no doubt change then yes you will need to notify them about those changes as soon as they happen.

First of all congratulations.

Really the sooner the better, so you can work together and get a plan of action formulated. Your IP needs to know as your salary will change for a while, whilst on maternity leave, and your expense allowances will need to change after the birth.

Congratulations from me too [not to Foggy but to the poster]. This is quite common in IVAs and everything can be taken care of.

Congratulations! We took a payment break whilst I was on maternity leave of 9 months, 2 yrs into our IVA. In hindsight I wish we had continued with the payments and stuck with our original end date as we now have the arrears to pay back. Seemed to be the right decision at the time, although since then my work hours have reduced so SMP was more than my wages once I returned to work.
