I am 5 months into an IVA with my wife and have been told recently that the company, Credit Fix, we are using have no record of us as being a client although they are taking payments. Our creditors are now chasing their payments stating that no payments have been made. Please advise.

Did you go direct to Creditfix or were you with another company ?
Have you kept all your paperwork ie, proposal, accepted chairmanship report etc?

I would look for this ASAP and confirm a name of a contact you dealt with.

Seems very strange ... would be demonstrating via the paperwork held like your chairmans report etc and also be asking them to confirm the direct debit details etc.

What does the insolvency register say?

As above: What paperwork do you have ? If they want to see, send copies, not originals!

Are you paying by Standing Order or Direct Debit -- if DD then they are actually calling for the money, so must have set this up.

Hi

Strange but it's not unusual for creditors to still chase for payments early into an IVA because the info about the IVA has not filtered down to the departments concerned.

Go online and check the Insolvency Register, this will quickly tell you if you are in an IVA or not
