My completion certificate is imminent too (finished in Sept 14) and I have the same question as Steve if anyone can help? Also, I have had a look at my Noodle credit score which is obviously 1/5 at the moment. Do i need to wait for the IVA's 6th anniversary to start improving this score as the defaults are all still showing as monthly right up to this month...? Feels great to be free of the IVA but need to look forward and start putting myself back in the normal world.
Thanks

Hi, yes I would suggest you wait for the 6th anniversary after your IVA commencement date to see any improvement in your credit files
Your IVA should drop off your credit file 3 months after receiving your certificate. Have a look at defaults etc., here's a couple of links that may help.

http://pjgrecovery.com/clean-up-credit-rating.asp
Both good sites.

From my experience the defaults have disappeared quite promptly (within days) of the 6th anniversary of the default. It is however worth checking the default date of each debtor, as in my case the default date was often much later than the IVA start date, so the shame hung around longer than I would have liked

I noted that some debtors didn't record a default date, and reported every month that I was six payments late, so even though the record now shows as 'Settled', because there is no default date, the records have stayed on my file even though they are more than six years old. I am still working to get this rectified!
