My brother in law is in a mess can I have some contact details for him to get help.......Micheal as helped me on here but I didn't want to show favouritism lol........but help needed asap .......THANKS ALL

I would look at
www.iva.com for some suggested IPs and their contact details. There are forum experts who post regularly on here that come with good recommendations.

Your brother-in-law is welcome to call me if he wishes regardless of what the problem is. He could consider speaking to the bank funded or charity sector and if he chooses this route perhaps the CAB would be the most independent in this sector. The main problem with a lot of these firms is access to an advisor. I recently advised a client to enter a DRO and we are not intermediaries so cannot do it for her.
She spoke to the CAB who advised it would be over 6 weeks for an appointment and Stepchange said 8 weeks for DRO appointment. I wonder if Stepchange have an 8 week waiting list if you rang with a juicy IVA!

No Mike. She needs a debt relief order as the bailiffs are threatening to knock down the doors of the property she rents with her daughter. Her surplus income can easily be shown as a minus and her debts are under £15k but she cannot get help.
Unfortunately we cannot provide DROs as we are not registered intermediaries and the two largest ones she tried seem to have large backlogs.

Crossed wires Michael I think, I was referring to the "juicy IVA" comment....
Anyway, I would try Payplan or National Debtline, both of whom have intermediaries available, and who shouldn't have a ridiculously long wait to access help.
