Where can I meet someone face to face to discuss whether an IVA would be best for myself. I have been given advise over the phone but find it difficult to understand all the information given.

Whereabouts are you ? I know Melanie Giles and McCambridge Duffy will travel out to meet clients, probably many others too.

It is more than possible but try and avoid up front fees.

Hi and welcome, I'm sure companies will do this as self-employed require (or used to?) a face to face meeting with their IP.

Give a few companies a ring and ask the question, Foggy makes some good suggestions.

... Despite being SE myself, I never met anyone other than the courier that puffed up my paperwork whilst my iva was being proposed.

Ooh, maybe it's changed but I was on the understanding self-employed had face to face meetings.

Hi

I think this is no longer a requirement

Telephone meetings seem to have taken over

We seeked advice from an independent IP who tailor makes IVAs to circumstance, we already had one with someone, I we went to her to check ours over as we wanted to settle, it cost us to do it but she was brilliant, as she discovered that our whole IVA was a mess, money well spent, so be careful with over the phone meetings

Hi, our IVA was dealt with over the telephone but I really wish we could have had a face to face meeting to further understand what the IVA entailed and what was expected. I would strongly advice a face to face if you can.
