Hi
We've just been sent a "Deed of Assignment" to sign, contacted DFD and was told it was to hurry up the sign off completion, we finished 61 months in May 2014. Apparently this Deed is so that the company can sign us off but they can also claim any outstanding any PPI's, as these are taking too long.
Should we sign?

Thanks in advance.

If that is all the Deed contains there is nothing to lose -- just make sure there are no other changes slipped in there !

As Foggy says have a look into it and if it's as it sounds sign and return and hopefully get yourselves signed off in due course.

I had the same from DFD and read it very carefully, it is really to aid a quicker closure of your IVA. My only advice is to return it recorded delivery so that it has to be signed for. DFD are getting a reputation for "losing" them, I signed and returned one in Dec 2013, and have just had to sign a second one this week as they deny all knowledge of the first.
