Hi,

I have jut come out of an IVA Credit History repaired with no defaults.

I have applied for a Car Loan with Tesco Bank online and after taking the plunge it has came up APRROVED IN PRINCIPLE!!! they want 1 months of Bank Statements and proof of address and ID signed by the Post Office as a self check before a decision is made.I have sent all this off.
I have already sent off the legal contract and everything else all signed.
What i want to know is why am i having to go through sending all this paperwork off and have i passed the credit checks when applying online or am i completely wasting my time as i am awaiting a final decision.
Does anyone know how all this works now as before it was straightforward.
What i want to know is have i got the loan or not!!!

All online applications these days ( apart from to the likes of Wonga) require an ID check -- which is why they need the paperwork they have asked for.

Lenders are getting more stringent.

As long as there are no surprises I would think you will be getting the cheque soon.

Fingers crossed.
