I made my last payment in January, and can hardly believe I've reached this point.
I have even rung Payplan twice just to ensure all is in order so I might cancel the direct debit.
I will not expect my CC just yet though as it appears that Equity in Finance have only just got around to my ppi. Only 3 years since signing the forms. Lol.
Payplan on the other hand have been professional, understanding and have always returned my emails and calls in good time. Their advice has been sound and I truly felt that they wanted me to succeed on this hard financial journey.
The IVA was a scary route to take, but once I saw Payplan were there to support and assist me it became less so.
In short I would recommend them to anyone considering an IVA.

Thanks Ladies and Gents for your kind words.
Having read so many bad experiences involving other companies, I felt that it would be good for those considering an IVA, to read something positive.

I feel I have to bump this up. I really wish I could say I have the same experience with Payplan and I wish I knew where I am gong wrong. My emails rarely get answered even if when I beg for a reply. Payplan plus is a waste of time as is sending anything by post even recorded delivery it all gets lost.
I am at my wits end with it all.

definatley not my experience country girl.in the 5 years I had with them every phonecall and e-mail was answered and sorted out everytime.i don't know how its going wrong for you as they surley must work the same way for every client.i used payplan plus all the time and got all my paperwork through that as it was faster.maybe a representative will come on and sort out why you not getting the service you need.

I'm really sorry to hear this Country Girl.
My experience can only be down to my IP. I never used Payplan Plus but always returned paperwork by email. Which made things very smooth. I never suffered any setbacks or took payment breaks etc.
I just kept making my payments.

Yes I think it is down to your case officer.I send things through by email now but I have only just be able to do this. Sending things by post is very hit and miss it often does not reach my case officer even when I mark it for his attention with my ID number.
I have sent an email at the beginning of the week with all the items for my review and asked for acknowledgement that it had been received. I am still waiting.
I have been in My IVA for nearly five years and have not had any payments breaks either. I fact due to gaining promotion at work I have increased my payments by over £200 per month.
I have to say Payplan were great when I set my IVA up and the first 2 years were fine its more recently that I have had problems. At the moment I am trying to sort out my equity release and that has been going on since October.

My home is in negative equity. I received the letter from Payplan and a few days later a phone call from the surveyor. He visited within a week and I had another phone call a week later to tell me that there was no equity in my home and to just make the continued payments. It only took a couple of weeks to sort, but without equity is must be very simple. There are no discussions over re-mortgaging or getting secured loans to free up equity. I hope yours gets sorted soon.

Thank you In some ways I wish it was the case for me! Would make things a lot easier and it would all soon be over.
As I have said before equity in your home is on all on paper, it can only be realised if you borrow more money or sell up.

Why has it taken the claims management company three years to begin to process your case? This definitely does not seem right.

In truth Melanie, I have no idea. I signed the forms as soon as they were sent, as I was keen to do everything expected to complete the process. I periodically rang them to check progress and was told my claims would be investigated in due course. Then just before Christmas I was re-sent the paperwork to sign again, with just two payments left to complete my IVA.

I would suggest that you start asking some questions and insist on getting some answers. Someone is accountable for this inordinate delay.
