5 years on, we are through it!
A massive debt of over £60k paid back and now the F&F of £8500 has been receieved it's just a case of waiting for the Completion Certificate.

I keep pinching myself when I see I've got money left in my account 4 days before payday lol!!!

I wanted to ask a quick question.
DFD has been brilliant with helping us through the whole process, a few little hiccups along the way but generally fantastic.

They have advised that, in order to repair our credit rating, we should take out a Vanquish credit card asap.
Use it for shopping/fuel etc, but pay it off as soon as you get home to give your rating lots of lovely "zeros".

Could someone confirm if:
a) this is allowed whilst the completion certificate is yet to be sent?
b) Will I be refused anyway?

With having three times the spare cash I had during the IVA, I am very comfortable at being in a position to re-build in this manner... I just want to make sure it's within the rules I've become used to over the past five years.

Yippppppppeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Hi GC1967 - fantastic news, congratulations.

If they have advised you to take out a credit card then they are happy for you to do that, i.e you will not be breaching any terms of your IVA. Usually some people wait for their completion certificates.

Best wishes for the future GC1967 :-)

Congratulated you on your other post GC. I have taken out a Vanquis card. Go for the option to clear the balance each month automatically and you'll find every few months they will invite you to increase your credit facility.

Good to have a back up payment means though.

Great news ... Hopefully won't be long before the completion certificate is received.
