I'm a year into my IVA and everything is going well. I'm helping out with a new under 7's football team doing the admin side of things. We need to set up an account for the team funds and this has to be Natwest (as this is what all the teams in the club use). I've tried to avoid being one of the signatories on the account but the manager is pushing me to be one and I have no reason to say know (other than I'm in an IVA and I don't want to say this). My question is - can i be a signatory and if so will they accept me? I don't want anyone to know we're in an IVA and I'm terrified Natwest will reject me and state the reason why. Help!!

Hi, if they reject I don't think they can tell anyone but you why...however, not sure about this, do they credit check you? If you can find that out, it may help as if they do that will highlight the IVA but if not then you could be fine.

That should be reassuring for the OP to know.

Hi. I took over as treasurer for my sons football club whilst in IVA and had no problems whatsoever.
