Hi just wondered if you could help. I finished my IVA in April 2011. Have got my completion certificate have no debts and have decided to try and claim ppi myself. Just wondered if anyone has made a successful claim with HSBC post IVA

Hi -- there is a very strong chance that HSBC will simply use any refund to offset the original debt -- they are very IVA unfriendly and not at all co-operative.

They are paying out on some claims so far as I am aware, but are one of the tougher companies to work with.
