We have the biggest smiles on our faces today. Karol from GT has called to say our closure cert is in the post . She wanted us to have the news in case it did not arrive before the weekend. Our journey is finally over. Thank you everyone on this forum for supporting us and reading my rants. I will continue popping on here to give support to those still waiting and still hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have waited 26 months for this news but it was the best news and thanks Karol for making our weekend special.

That is the best news to start the weekend with (apart from the news that Nigella Lawson is moving in ... but we won't talk about that).
And well done to Karol for, as well as hustling behind the scenes, letting you know as soon as possible. Despite all the bad press, there ARE people who care

So pleased for you. I have been following your journey since I posted on here a while ago as we were in a similar situation to yours. We are still waiting!...Good Luck for the future, you deserve some peace of mind!

I agree it was so good for Karol to call us. She didn't have to do this but said she wanted to especially as we have had a difficult journey. Hopefully those starting out now won't have such a difficult end to their IVA,s as all this PPI stuff may be sorted . Without this forum we would have been completely in the dark having no idea what was happening. I also need to thank Melanie as maybe her intervention a couple of weeks ago finally paid off . If anyone ever mentions credit cards or loans to me I will throttle them !!!

That is frankly the best news I have heard all week. I am not a bit surprised that Karol called you personally. She takes her work ad her clients very seriously, and always does a very good job which is not always respected on the outside world.
I am glad that I may have been able to be of a little help, but to be honest when I spoke to Paul he told me that they were already on the case.
