Hi Tracey - your IVA will automatically drop off your credit file 6 years from the date you started. Then there will be the matter of checking your credit file to make sure all is well, hopefully your completion certificate will of arrived by then too.
Is this client one of your creditors? Your IP does have to wait for creditors to claim their money's in a IVA at each yearly review & I believe most do, but I'm not sure of the time scale they are given to claim at the end of the IVA.
Please hang on for other forum members to comment.

Sorry to hear about the delay - you will get there eventually, but it is an awkward wait.
Just to clarify though - and sorry to say this - but your IVA will not drop off your file at the six year mark unless it has been removed from the Insolvency Register and the credit reference agencies have seen a copy of the completion certificate.
Until completion certificate received and greater than six years from date of acceptance conditions are both satisfied, it will remain on your file. Sorry!

I believe your IP should set a deadline for claims to be received after which the creditor is no longer entitled to a dividend. So might be worth asking your IP when they contacted the creditor to establish the claim and what deadline they have given them to respond.
Btw, I also believe the IVA will remain on your credit file until such time it is no longer marked as 'current' on the insolvency register and at least 6 years have passed since the IVA start date.
