Hi advice needed. Despite repeatedly telling an iva company that I had chosen to go with another company, they are still ringing me, emailing me and sending me letters. I have requested repeatedly that they remove my details from their database and have also complained to their senior mgmt team, but lo and behold, today another two phone calls and an email. How can I escalate this to someone who will actually do something? This is surely embarrassment'?

Which firm is it Denise who are harassing you in this manner?

Hi Denise ... You have every right to choose between companies and unless paperwork signed and creditors meeting held you are in the right to swap.
Which company Denise ... We have a number of companies now posting on the forum and they will be able to help resolve this matter. I receive a phonecall every day almost offering me a solution to my debt issues ... Laughable now as i don't have debts since the iva concluded .... I just say " no thankyou ... You appear to have got the wrong person " and then end the call.
Stay strong they will eventually get the message.

When I started out I did an online "fact finder" for a large IVA provider. As history shows, I went elsewhere for my IVA, but this company were quite persistent with follow up emails and phone calls.

I imagine, this way, they mop up those "who haven't quite decided", but it does get a mite annoying.

The decision to enter into an IVA, or any other debt solution, is a very personal one and one which often takes some time to eventually decide upon. I cannot see how hassling someone who may still be undecided as to the route they wish to take, can be conducive to a good business model for the firm concerned. If anything, surely it is going to put any potential client off?

I was reluctant to name and shame on an open forum but today I have received another two phone calls and an email. I have contacted their complaints dept and told them if they continue to contact me, I will name them on this forum. Let's see what happens now. This is completely unprofessional behaviour from them and I dread to think how this hassling would affect someone far more vulnerable than me. Sending me letters is even worse behaviour, particularly as they mention my debt solution and prior discussions. I am furious.

As I said previously, this cannot in any way help them to gain business Denise. Let's hope their unwanted persistence of you will now wane.

Well the power of the forum does really work...just finished a very long day at work feeling very grumpy, and lo and behold, an email apologising for continually contacting me from the head honcho of the iva company. And their personal email address supplied should I need to contact them if any further issues regarding contact arise. Let's see what happens....!!!!
