Notice of correction?
My IVA was completed 11 months ago.
As advised here on the forum, I sent copies of the completion certificate with letter. to the main credit ref agencys, whilst it has taken Experian a long to remove it from the file the others did so straight away ... or so I thought!
Recently trying to change insurance company's I was turned down by one.
It appears one CRA had marked the IVA as complete and posted it as a ''notice of correction'' on their file - which of course is still visable.
Is this in order? or should they remove reference to it as the others have done?
Thanks
Mike

The NOC can be removed, just give them a call and they should do it over the telephone for you.

I have the same problem with Equifax. Under Notice of Correction it states the following:
'IVA DATED 15/08/2006 WAS REMOVED FROM THE INSOLVENCY SERVICE RECORDS ON 12/12/2011. ADDED BY IVABKYLD ON 12/12/2011'
And it is shown as registered by me!
Nothing appears on Experian, just Equifax. Want to get it removed.

They do seem to work in strange way's!
I waited until 3 months (after the 6 year period) then sent letters (as advised here on the forum, with copies of completion) to Experian, Equifax & Call Credit.
Equifax removed it, Experian took another letter before they removed it, but it's Call Credit who listed as NoC rather than removed completly.
Interestingly Noddle had removed it more or less on the 6 year date!
Might be one to watch though - since signing up with Noddle (free) I had a couple of emails telling me my credit report had been up dated, each time I logged on nothing seems to have changed but it has left a 'footprint' on other CRA's reports.
In addition, every time I have used comparison web sites (for insurance)it leaves a foot print - several pages long in some cases!
Also of note :- when I wrote requesting my statutory report (using the format of a letter somewhere here on the forum) & paying the £2.0 fee, all three eventualy wrote back & enclosed an application form, for completion - despite all the information being in the letter!

Curiously the CRA's put this NOC on in an attempt to assist! During the year following completion the IVA still shows and the CRA's put this notice on to emphasise the fact that it has completed.
However, they forget that it doesn't drop off when the IVA does ( it has to be manually removed -- which they will do when asked).
