Oh no that is not good. If this is fraudulent then they will give you it back they have to I think??
Contact your IP and explain and they should allow you to pay your s/o or dd a bit later this month. Hope it's sorted for you very soon.

I'd be beside myself too if it happened to me. You read so much about this at the minute. Please contact your IP and hopefully that's one less thing to worry about and hopefully that money will be back with you as soon as and things put right.

The bank should reimburse you ..however they will probably insist on full investigation first. It might be wise to inform your IP so they can support you through this

This also happened to my son but his Bank paid back all monies within the week. Awful thing to happen though and very stressful!

This happened to me not long ago and the bank did put the money back but the investigation is still going on. The money was used to pay WONGA loans so WONGA are investigating also. The bank did say it could take 7 days for the money to go back into my account but I told them I had bills to pay so they put it in straight away with the assurance I would not have any bank charges added to the account.

Again thanks for all your support......today another blip...I had a letter from a third party debt recovery party , requested by NAT WEST to send me quite a hard nosed and aggresive letter to say 'pay your debts as soon as possible' or we will continue to call or come round and discuss. I have compalined to my IVA PEOPLE ,as surely they should be dealing with these people....not me....12 months down the line..surely breaking the law of the IVA. once again it's the Banks who are the most aggresive with our debts.. and who give it freely in the first instance . another day another dollar eh guys xx

Hi Maxieboy. I wouldn't suggest this as a course of action .. but this is what I would do with the threat from NatWest :
I wouold politely reply to the dept recovery people that, if they would kindly advise the time and date they wish to call and speak to me I will arrange to have the police present as they will be guilty of harassment. Alternatively they could discuss the matter, through the correct channels, with the IP.
