I wonder if anyone can help me at all....

I've had an IVA for just over the past year since December 2011 and I've paid £287 each month on time however being 27 years old I feel that having met a new partner that its time to think about moving out from my parents house and in with him.

My new partner doesn't know about my IVA and I was wondering if I contacted my IP regarding my new circumstances would they allow me to revise my I & E as I will be living away from home.

Thanks

HI. I am sure they will revise your I&E. They will also expect your partner to be paying half of the expenses. Modest reductions in payments can often be negotiated, as long as the IVA remains viable. Any reduction over 15% will need to be referred to the creditors.

Have a word with your IP on a "what if" basis and see what they say.

Don't let the IVA dictate your life, but let your life dictate the IVA. There is flexibility within the arrangement, and with the discretion of your creditors, to allow you to move on - and great news to hear that you have a partner you want to spend the rest of your life with.
