Well, for the past few weeks I have been getting all my stuff together for Claire, Amy and Melanie to draft my proposal and have had my telephone meeting with Claire today to go over expenditure etc, next step is finalising the proposal and setting date for creditors meeting! Still very nervous it won't go to plan because of the history of my debt and they will reject it but got every faith in Mel and her team and can't thank them enough for all they have done to date. Although still have bad days I feel a lot less stressed apart from the impact this could have on my career (although my employer has been pretty supportive) but must say this forum is the best place to come for advice and support and so glad I found it whilst considering my options! If the IVA is rejected ill just hve to deal with that when it happens!

I'm glad you're finding the forum supportive Lisa, it's always nice to read that.
With Mel on your side you know you'll have done your best and can any of us honestly do any better than that?
Hang in there, we've all felt the same at some point in our journey. xx

Hi Lisa,
Along with Robbieboy, I was wondering how you were doing. I am glad you are almost there. I share a similar experience in regards to the history of your debts. (If that makes sense I don't want to go to personal). And my proposal was accepted.
As it has been said time and time before and it is so true. Melanie and the team would not be proposing a proposal I'm sure if they didn't think it would be accepted.
Have faith and all will be ok.
I don't think you will start to calm down until long after it has been accepted. I'm 3 weeks in tomorrow and I still can't believe it. (Glad for the calls to have stopped though).
It's been good to hear from you Lisa take care and hopefully you'll have a meeting date through soon xx

Thanks guys, I have been checking in on the forum numerous times daily to keep up to date with everyone else but didnt want to keep posting or pestering but today felt like another step closer so thought I'd share my update. It's so refreshing to think that others have thought about me (as I have others) and feels like you have someone to turn to with this forum as its hard to discuss with partner and family without it dragging us down.
Just fear that the debt history is all too recent but I do have a great team working on my proposal and there are short term alternatives if they do reject and I'll just have to try again. Think dividend will be 50p so hope they just focus on this!
Congrats to both you charlygirl and robbieboy on having your proposals accepted I will be hoping I can join you on the journey soon! X
