Hi there,

Need to pick the brains of the forum!

We are in the midst of applying for a mortgage. I say we, however due to my IVA history (completed in 2011) we have decided that the mortgage and title deeds will be in my husbands name only. Our mortgage broker has stated that only a few will accept this and not credit check me, particulary no high street banks will allow this, but having just spoken to my bank, RBS, they said thats a lot of nonsense and of course we could have a mortgage in my husbands name only.

Confused - any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mrs S

As others have said - speak to a whole market broker - used to dealing with client post IVA. At the end of the day you need to ensure your security in any property is established - especially if your contributing to household costs
