Do they know that they closed your case Markiboy (silly question I know) or are they seeking to claim PPI on closed cases as well?

Several posters who have completed have had these letters over the last week or so. Maybe the claims company is being over zealous.

I think they are just trying it on. Its a posh cold call I would say. The header is GT but I think its the company that are claiming PPI on their behalf. No signature from me. No claim of PPI go away IVA complete. Its gone in the bin.

Hmmmmm !!!!
It would be interesting to find out who exactly GT would pay with any PPI that was re-claimed ?
I mean, the IVA has ceased to be, the creditors have been paid and obviously agreed to the final payment hence the issue of CC. Your account is closed so there is no way of making a further payment into your agreement.
Did you sign one of GT's (in)famaous variation forms ?
If they keep pestering you, I'd be asking the question of where any payout of PPI would be going. If you haven't signed a declaration of no claim form, I'd be tempted to claim yourself and to stop GT or EIC benefitting from anything, give the money to charity.

I'm still interested in how EIC got my details from GT 6 months after the IVA closed and CoC was issued. I understand they don't need my permission to pass on details during the IVA but after closure? Surely that's not ok and I don't for a second believe they'd have sat on them pre-closure if they were handed over in July as everyone else's seem to have been (I got no opt-out letter because my IVA was in closure).
I don't think it's a coincidence this is happening to so many people (myself included) all at once.

remember that many companies will directly offset any ppi claims against debt write offs. Legal or not, nobody knows as no-ones gone to court over the issue yet.

I have had Karol on the phone this morning stating that my name and address has now been removed and this was passed to this company when my case was in closure. Thanks Karol sorry if I looked as I was calling GT, I wasn't. I was just fed up of all the PPI calls I get and this one was the one that broke the camels back. Thank you again Karol you what makes a lot of people on here have HOPE!!!!!I personally cant thank you enough.

She does a brilliant job, and has helped an awful lot of forum posters see light at the end of the tunnel with their cases. This should encourage other posters with similar difficulties to make contact.

I'm with GT. I made my final payment in Jan 2012 and in Dec 2012 they wrote to me about variations and these were agreed to by my creditors and i'm now in the closure process as of Jan 2013.
Now they've written to me about changing my terms and conditions for PPI. I called them today and they told me that my creditors are unlikely to agree to close if I have PPI to claim. And even if I claim after its officially closed, some of the compensation will go back to the creditors. Is this correct?

Do you actually feel that you were mis-sold any PPI JoJo79? It is a shame that this holding up your completion statement for so long.

I had 5 or 6 loans and credit cards. One of them was a £10k loan with Egg. They wrote to me a few months, ago saying they believe they owe me PPI compensation and that I should claim from them.
So by that, yes I think I do but I have no idea about the others

Does anyone have any advice on this?

GT's appointed claims management company should be able to identify the accounts which contain PPI, and can thus check with you whether this was mis-sold in your opinion or not. This will include debts in your IVA, and also debts which you may have paid off prior to entering into the IVA.
