hi, quick question- does being in an iva stop you or cause an issue for becoming power of attorny ??

my sister is currently 6 months into iva and looking to become a joint power of attorny for my grandfather

any advice gratefully recieved [:)]

Hi, no it shouldn't prevent this at all. I enuired about this with my IP for MIL and was told it was fine to do so.

It has no impact on a lasting power of attorney,but let your IP know for their records.
