I had my f&f accepted last may and in July my IP said all creditors claims had been settled and f&f certificate would be issued within 2 to 3 weeks. Certificate still hasn't been received and in November we were told it could be a year from when f&f was accepted.
This week we have received annual statements from two of our creditors still showing debt outstanding. Does this sound right? I would of thought if claims had been settled we wouldn't have heard from creditors again.

Hi Carrie
Yes you would think that it had all been settled by now.
Raise this with your IP
Are they claiming PPI back hence the delay in closing your IVA ?

Thanks Andy
I will forward the creditor letters onto my IP.
I have never taken any PPI I out so would not have anything to claim back. Will I need to make my IP aware of this? They have never asked me if I have any.

by 12 months to go
Morning Carrie
Not sure who your IVA is with , but it does appear some of the larger IVA providers need nudging along post last payment
I would suggest contacting them on a monthly basis, as this may well see you get dealt with earlier
good luck and let us know how you get on

Thanks. I am prepared for it being 12 months though. What's concerning me more at the minute is the letters from creditors.

I would ask your IP to deal with the letters as if the creditors were included in the F&F offer they should not be contacting you. x

The thing is about a lot of people saying they never took out PPI is a myth. Sorry folks but out of all your loans and cards. They put on PPI without your consent. It was in your interest and built in. Thats why they are paying out. EGG did it on all loans and credit cards. Sorry folks but thats why your IP is claiming it all back. A friend just got £3000 back from Lloyds he didnt sign any PPI.

I know you are a client of mine who wants to see their IVA closed. We will be writing to you this week with regard to PPI and hopefully we can progress matters now very quickly.

Sorry to bump this thread again Mel, but I haven't received any correspondence re PPI.
I have contacted your office about letters from creditors, but all they came back with was asking for confirmation that we hadn't had any windfalls so creditor's final report could be completed.
I had an email last July saying creditors claims had been settled.
I am quite patient to wait. I just am confused as to what I'm waiting for in order to get certificate.

Hopefully Mel will be along later this evening and will be able to update...as you are one of her clients it maybe best to contact her off forum so that specific details can be spoken about in confidence.
Let us know how you get on.
