I've received the paperwork for my Annual Review today . I can't believe I'm nearly a year in and survived Christmas without a Credit Card or Overdraft

Well done on getting to through the 1st year Dunkynuts!
We had our first review paperwork come through a few weeks back, and just can't believe that we have reached this first milestone!
We are pleased we took the decision to get into the IVA and sort our debts out - best decision ever !
Hopefully all of us on our journey ( or about to start the journey ) will have a speedy one !!

Glad to see you are getting there Dunkynuts. Even a year seems an awfully long time away at the moment. So it's encouraging to hear people say it has come around quickly. Good luck wit the next lot.

I'm coming up to my 3rd annual review. It's passed fairly quickly though I'm betting the next 2 will drag!

Well done Dunkynuts, on April 1st I will be 2 years up. My people have asked for review paperwork already, hopefully all will be okay (not that it shouldn't be, but you know what I mean)
I measure mine in 3 month "chunks", although some days that seems a long time.

Well done dunkynuts.
Waitingforship good luck on your IVA journey.........as others have said just keep hacking away at it........its not forever. There are ups & downs in an IVA, especially without the credit cards and loans to fall back on but even in an IVA you can and will survive without debt.
If theres one thing I have learned during this process, it is to be happy with what I've got and count my blessings rather than worry about what I havn't or can't have. My IVA has enabled me to keep my roof over the familys head, heat and light the house, kept food on the table and allowed me to continue living..........my previous debt nearly destroyed all of the aforementioned and at times it came close to literally destroying me as a person.....so I count my lucky stars.
Whenever I think my IVA's hard I think back to to the weeks/months pre-IVA........when my thoughts were unfortunately not how to keep living but quite the opposite.......which may seem overboard to some but was a reality to me.
I still have a way to go myself but one things for sure I can now at least see a way forward to a day I will be out of debt.....and believe me I will never contemplate a loan or credit card again. If I cant afford to pay cash for something then its simple....I wont have it.
Good luck.
