No they should't be contacting you. Tell your IP and they will tell Wonga to stop. Probably with a flea in their ear.

Hi -- they can send emails -- unless they start to border on harrassment!

If the company contacts you simply give them the details of your IP and tell them to speak only to them. Do not get into any discussions otherwise.

I assume wonga are contained within your IVA. Also inform your IP -- he / she might like to have a word in their ear.

Jamster, Foggy and I conflict here, but for sure contact your IP.

Do contact your IP - it might be just a question of the left hand and right hand not being in communication with each other. It does sometimes happen.

F - Once in a IVA, I was told by my IP, that those creditors within the IVA, could not contact me, period. Perhaps, its was my IPs practice

Hi Jamster247,

Yes I agree with The Artist. I was told exactly the same and those who did contact me I passed them onto my IP. I'm with DFD.

Have to agree with TheArtist - creditors should not contact you (other than the annual statement and from companies such as Max Recovery to tell you that they have bought the debt).

Perhaps it's not a debt collection agency but one of the companies that buy up debts.

We will have to agree to disagree on this -- my understanding is that they are allowed to contact you, for, amongst others, the reasons mentioned above. What they are not allowed to do is demand payment or harass you.

I do not believe there is a blanket ban on contact. per se, in either direction.
