Welcome to the forum....i do not believe they have to be told. It may be worth you contacting your HR department and speaking anonymously to seek their advice. We have plenty of NHS workers posting on here so one of them maybe able to offer advice too.

As luluj says, I seriously doubt they need to know, and won't do, unless you tell them, or they stumble across the Insolvency Register.

Short answer - no. However, as mentioned, if you are worried, just seek out you personnel section.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Do check your own contract of employment as it may state something in there. As others have said if in doubt an anonymous call to HR may give you the answer.

Are you in an IVA or just deciding upon one as a possible debt solution? x

Hi

No, there is no reason to inform your employer. I have a client who is a consultant and he is happily in an IVA

Hi Raj

I'm also a dr, am currently trying to decide between br and iva. I looked into this with my contract & GMC and as others have said, there doesn't seem to be any requirement to notify them. Good luck with it all!

No need to worry at all - I am acting for several doctors at the moment, and none of them have been affected career wise.

Hi, no. Not a dr , but worked within the same. You don't have to notify the HCP professional register either.
