I've settle my IVA final payment back in February 2012, three years early. I am still waiting for my certificate to arrive. My question is am I eligible to apply for a finance at this stage ? I am planning to buy a Motorcycle ? Will I get rejected ?

I enter my IVA with my partner as a joint debts and he still making monthly payment towards his IVA. My question is will my name would be clear after I received my certificate ? I heard my name will remain default until he make the final payment. Is that true ?

I am not too sure our IVA is interlocking... If so, how will this effect me in the future ? But we meant to finish our Final payment by January 2015. I was fortunate to settle mine earlier than that.

Also I did some searched on Credit Expert, Equifax and it shows I am financial associated with my partner name. We have a joint account together.

Thank you for your time.

Hi, your IVA will be on your credit record for 6 years from date of acceptance so despite the fact your conclued your IVA early it remains on there. I wouldn't advise taking any credit either until you receive your certificate of completion.

HI, you do really need to wait until you have your certifcate as mentioned above by Lesley, if you settled early then you will still have 6 years from when your IVA started, have you also checked the Insolvancy Register to see if your still on there?

It says on register it will clear 3 months after proof of completion or something along those lines. You need to click on your entry and read the star notation at the bottom :)

by 12 months to go
sometimes you drop off the Insolvency register quicker than the 3 months quoted; i actually dropped off 2 weeks after I recieved my completion certificate

If you've not had your completion letter then you will still be on the Insolvency Register and it will still be showing on your credit record.

I doubt you will be able to get credit and of course the financial association won't help either.
