I finished my iva 14 months ago yet my credit rating has not changed.Is this down to not receiving my certificate of completion?

Why have you not recieved your completion certificate?

Without a completion certificate your name will remain on the insolvency register and may remain on your credit file.

Have a look at your credit files to see what's on there.

I am with DFD,all i have got is timescales they do not keep to(very frustrating).They tell me this is normal....????.

As i am a member with experian i view my credit regulary.It is unchanged..I do not understand what the hold up can be since they have NEVER got in touch with me.

Even if your credit file looks clear, the fact that your name is still on the insolvancy register will affect your ability to get credit.

It is so unfair that after serving your sentance, that your financial life is still on hold while you wait for that completion certificate.

The "norm" should be no more than 6 months and often less than that. Unfortunatly there are a lot of larger firms who have not got their act together at the moment.

All I can suggest is you contact them weekly is not daily for an update .

Thankyou for the advice,but i sent an e-mail on thr 27/9 with no reply.I also phoned only to be told they would find out and get back to me but Have not.Last 4 or 5 times i tried to phone i cannot get through ggggrrrrrr.

What reasons have they given for the delay in your case being completed? I note that you seem to e having difficulties in reaching anyone - have you tried e-mailing your IP directly?

The only way to solve this is to continually ring your IP ....I appreciate phone lines are busy but persevere and don't take no for an answer. Like Mel says email your IP direct rather than a generic email address.
